Brad E. Cooper


Founder and President

Brad has over 28 years of experience as a Financial Advisor and earned his B.A. from Columbia College. He has helped many families keep on the path toward financial security and independence. His passion is helping others achieve their financial goals.

Recently, Brad was featured in a nationwide documentary “Not Alone: Retirement in America”. Currently, he is hosted on Channel 12 NBC affiliate in Phoenix discussing Financial Awareness. Brad is the author of the book “Cooper’s Truth” and Forbes magazine recently interviewed him for an article published in their December 2019 issue.

Brad has written numerous articles on the subject of finance and has contributed several financial related articles to magazines and newspapers. He develops speeches and workshops tailored for multiple audiences on topics such as Retirement Income, Tax, Legacy, and Elder Care Planning.

Shelly Cooper


Director of Client Relations Cooper Financial Group, LLC

Shelly was born and raised in a small community in Missouri. She met the love of her life at the young age of 15. Brad Cooper was her high school sweetheart and they were married in 1991. Shelly attended the University of Missouri (Go, Tigers!) and was awarded her diploma with a degree in Political Science. She went on to use that knowledge as she worked on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. for the Senate Committee for Commerce, Science and Transportation. Shelly and Brad started Cooper Financial Group almost 28 years ago and have worked tirelessly to reach a standard of excellence for their clients. Over 5 years ago, they moved their business to Arizona. It was the best decision they have ever made.

Recently, after being a stay-at-home mom for almost 15 years, Shelly returned to the office to work in the Client Relations area. She loves serving in this capacity. Shelly and her husband, Brad, have two beautiful daughters Grace and Maggie. They share their home with their sweet dog, Biscuit. In her spare time, Shelly loves to read, travel, shop, cook, entertain, and of course spend time with her family. She also loves being involved with her church.

Grace Cooper


Director of Marketing Cooper Financial Group, LLC

Grace is the Director of Marketing for Cooper Financial Group, LLC. She has received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Management from Biola University. Grace has recently joined our team, as she just graduated from college. She is looking forward to helping clients with their financial needs and planning fun client events in the future. Grace has been a part of many opportunities in the past to help her leadership skills grow and learn what it takes to succeed in the business world. Outside of work, Grace enjoys traveling, babysitting and spending time with friends and family.

Lindsey Kemp


Client Executive Manager

Lindsey is the Director of Client Relations for Cooper Financial Group, LLC. She has received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising and Marketing from Southeast Missouri State University. Lindsey has spent over five years managing teams and succeeding in client growth for two fortune 500 companies. Her focus is building strong client relationships. She is passionate about delivering superior client assistance and administration.


Laura Mills


Meetings & Seminars Coordinator

Laura is a Missouri native that moved to Arizona with her retired husband, Ray, in 2012. They were seeking the warmth of the sunny weather and an active outdoor lifestyle. Laura and Ray have been married for 27 years and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Laura resides in Florence at the awesome Sun City Anthem community. She enjoys swimming and water aerobics, hiking, spending time with her incredible group of friends and of course loving on her grandchildren. She stays very busy as an Ambassador at her community as well in a part time position. You will find Laura always helping decorate, plan or serve wherever she is needed in her close-knit community.

Before moving to Arizona, Laura invested 11 years with the State of Missouri as an eligibility specialist. She worked prior to that at the local radio station as a sales representative and then promoted to the Office Manager position. Laura is friendly and social. She loves meeting new people. She has never met a stranger… just someone she isn’t friends with yet! For the past 7 years she has been a vital member of the Cooper Financial Group team in planning events and seminars, interacting with clients and creating new strategies to better serve our clients. Laura’s brother is Brad Cooper. She has been a very important factor to the success and growth at Cooper Financial. Laura’s college degree emphasizes business and she has been able to incorporate her knowledge into a very fine-tuned set of skills.
